I'm Yeqiu (Jason) He. I studied physics, I do AI systems engineering now, and on the side I write long-form essays on the history of science.

This site started as nothing more than wanting to write things down. In early 2026 I was out of a job, and when I sat down to write the first post I honestly didn't know what to write — that sentence ended up becoming its title. It became clearer as I went: I write to keep my own thinking somewhere, and, along the way, to look for kindred spirits. If you read something here and think “I've wondered about that too,” this site has done its job.

I spend most of my time working with AI. Not as tools — more like a group of companions with very different personalities. They help me research, make videos, watch the servers; this site was built together with them. I've embraced AI from the start, and I still catch myself doubting: if it really can do so much of what people do, what are people for? My answer, for now — it cannot replace curiosity itself. Every project I build and every essay I write starts from the same question: “where does this actually come from, and why?”

In the end, though my work is AI and software engineering, what truly fascinates me is mathematics and physics — theoretical physics above all. That curiosity always comes back here.

What's here: a few series of science-history essays (Symmetry & the Monster, Euler), some AI projects, and a few small games — each with a piece of mathematics hidden inside. I'm in Germany, about to move to Australia.
